"Delivering Meaningful Project Insights through Data-Driven Analysis"

On May 16,  Ashok Iyengar, Chief Planner at Bechtel, will offer his expertise on the most common causes of project failure, as well as how data-driven analysis and smart applications can provide project professionals with more meaningful project insights and improve the overall likelihood of project success. 

•    An overview of the common causes of project failure due to schedule non adherence, with special emphasis on the gap between “as committed” vs. “as delivered”
•    How Bechtel has employs data-driven analysis to provide more meaningful project insights
•    How Bechtel leverages historical data for predictive planning and improvement of project performance
•    Tips for using data analysis on existing projects to provide pro-active solutions to problems
•    The various ways smart applications, such as Deltek Acumen Fuse, can better “arm” planners by providing a more effective service to project management

Ashok Iyengar is a Project Management professional with expertise in Project Controls carrying over 26 years of working experience with Proposals, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction & Commissioning in the EPC industry worldwide. His portfolio of experience includes Fossil Power, Mining and Metals, Petrochemicals & Food Processing projects.  He is a strong team leader working in multi-national teams.  As a professional, he has a high degree of expertise in designing and management of Information systems related to Progress and Performance, manpower optimization analysis and tracking of all aspects of project execution including Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Start Up. He has been instrumental in identification and providing solutions to execution problems on project across all business lines Ashok is also a certified training instructor for Bechtel’s project management courses as well as a guest lecturer at George Washington University. He is also a published author and an active blogger. Ashok is currently the Bechtel Corporate Manager of Planning.
