Welcome to the National Capital Section (NCS) of AACE International. AACE International is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional educational association founded in 1956 and is the largest organization globally serving the entire spectrum of the cost and management profession. The NCS provides an active business community for cost engineering and management professionals in the greater Capital region, serving Northern Virginia, Baltimore, the District of Columbia, Central Maryland, and its adjoining areas. AACE International seeks to provide its members with the resources needed to enhance their performance and promote continued growth and success in their professional careers.
The NCS seeks to support its members in their awareness of the requirements, standards and best practices required for the planning, development, and execution of all aspects of project controls and in the application of total cost management (TCM) to the scope, cost, and schedule of any particular program or project throughout its life-cycle. We aim to achieve these goals through a variety of professional development seminars, field trips, and networking opportunities, to maintain a lively and active forum for NCS members as well as other professional colleagues in the greater Capital region. Some of our events include joint meetings organized with allied professional associations.
The NCS hosts the certification examinations in the capital region for anyone who wishes to achieve or maintain their professional certification.
